Adult and Family Ranger U Programs: The Ranger U Program offers slide, lecture and field programs covering a wide range of topics focusing on both the natural and cultural history of Ken-Caryl Ranch Open Space.
Junior Naturalist After School Programs
6 - 9 year olds use all five senses to explore the wonders of nature. A different theme will be explored each month including hikes, experiments and other fun activities. Each session has a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 20. Snacks will be provided. All classes are held at the Dakota Lodge with Ranger Ernie.
Kinder Explorers
5 - 6 year olds explore a new topic in natural history and science each month. We will touch specimens, hike in the outdoors, participate in experiential activities and use imagination and creativity in our projects. Light snacks that are often integrated into the class topic are included. Group size ranges from a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 15 children. Children should dress appropriately for weather conditions and planned activities. All classes are held at the Dakota Lodge with Ranger Ernie.
KC Kid's Nature Camp
4 - 5 year olds explore a new topic in natural history and science each month. We will touch specimens, hike in the outdoors, participate in experiential activities and use imagination and creativity in our projects. Tot Discovery Time
An adventure in nature for three-year-olds! Tots will discover a new aspect of science and natural history each month. They will touch specimens, hike in the outdoors, participate in fun and engaging activities and use imagination and creativity in craft projects. Parents may attend classes but are not required to stay. Class size ranges from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 children. All classes are at the Dakota Lodge with Ranger Ernie.
Parent/Tot Science Time
Join your special toddler (18 months - 2 1/2 years old) as we explore science and nature together. Touch specimens, hike in the outdoors, participate in fun and engaging activities and use imagination and creativity in craft projects. Class size ranges from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 children. All classes are at the Dakota Lodge with Ranger Ernie.
