July 4th Holiday Schedule Causes Some Confusion
This year with Independence Day falling on a Sunday, there was some confusion about the trash pickup schedule for that week. There is a way to avoid this confusion in the future.
Waste Management will add your phone number to their automated call system to alert you of any changes regarding your trash pickup if you request to be included. The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association does not share residents’ phone numbers, so you must either call Waste Management directly at 303-797-1600 to ask that your number be added or if you prefer, for your convenience, a request form has been included in this issue of Life at Ken-Caryl on page 3. Master Association staff will accept the forms and forward the information to Waste Management as they are collected.

Growing Number of Families in Need
In just the first six months of 2010 we received 624 applications for help. It is surprising that we have not had to completely shut down as have many of the agencies we work with. Your generosity to help those in need is the reason why we are still able to operate each day.
We are now hearing from many families that have recently lost their employment. It breaks our hearts to talk to someone who has always worked and been able to support themselves and others and now can find no employment.
